The weather is gradually turning cool and refreshing, which for teens like you and I, actually marks the picnic season! Many would escape to the far countryside for a nice picnic site, but in fact, an ideal venue is just in the city centre within our reach!
Jordan Valley Park
Jordan Valley Park, located in 71 New Clear Water Bay Road, Kwun Tong, is the original site of the Jordan Valley Landfill. It is the largest park in Kwun Tong District, which covers an area of about 6.3 hectares, providing diversified recreational facilities including a world-class Radio Controlled Model Car Racing Circuit and a Horticultural Education Centre. It is definitely one of the most fully equipped parks in Hong Kong, no wonder why it has quickly become a new hotspot for picnics and family gatherings.

Tap Mun
Tap Mun, also named Grass Island, is a small and quiet island located in the northern part of Sai Kung. It has been famous for its high-quality indigo-colored water, which is exceptionally precious in Hong Kong.
But the best thing about Tap Mun, is no doubt its fresh greenish grassland. Not only does it welcome a lot of people every weekend, it even attracts cattle to come and taste the grass from time to time. Here in Tap Mun, visitors will be sure to enjoy the cloudless blue sky as well as the amazing sea view. You can also fly a kite and enjoy a lovely picnic on the edgeless grassland with your friends and family, as if you’re having your vacation in Europe!
