  • Take bus no. 94 (or 96R on Sunday and public holiday) to Wong Shek Pier. Then take a ferry operated by Tsui Wah Ferry Service between Wong Shek and Tap Mun/Ko Lau Wan to Chek Keng Pier

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR BOOKING

• Confirmation & Payments

  Room reservation will be confirmed instantly and payments are due in full at the time of booking.

• Check-in

  Check-in time:
  4:00PM – 8:00PM

  Upon arrival, Hostellers should check-in at the reception with
  (i) valid identity document (e.g. Passport / Hong Kong ID / travel document)
  (ii) valid HKYHA / Hostelling International individual / group membership card and
  (iii) booking confirmation letter.

• Security Deposit

  A cash deposit of minimum HK$100 is required upon check-in at hostel reception. If the guest does not cause any damages or losses to the hostel during the stay, the deposit will be returned in full upon check out. Deposit to be collected as follows:
  For staying of 1-28 night(s), HK$500 per Private Room / Private Dormitory / Bell Tent; HK$100 per head for Dormitory Bed / Bring Your Own Tent.
  For staying of 29 nights or more, HK$2,000 per Private Room / Private Dormitory / Bell Tent; HK$500 per head for Dormitory Bed / Bring Your Own Tent.

  Meanwhile, a security deposit is also required for borrowing some of the hostel equipment and facilities. The deposit will be returned in full if the returned equipment and facilities are in good condition.

• YHA Membership

  Guests who stay at the hostels must be a member of the Hong Kong Youth Hostel Association or the International Youth Hostel Association (Hostelling International). If you fail to present a valid membership card upon check-in, you must apply the membership at hostel reception. Each member can bring a maximum of three non-members to stay at our hostels. Non-members are required to pay the non-member rate. Every hostel room / tent should be booked by at least one member.

  YHA individual membership applies to in house guest only. The membership card may not be used by any person other than the cardholder.
  ^If you are not a YHA or HI member yet, you may apply the membership online on HKYHA website or upon arrival at hostel reception (only individual membership is available for on-site application). For more details, please visit our HKYHA website.

• Age Limit

  Private Room / Private Dormitory / Bell Tent / Bring Your Own Tent :
  Guests aged 17 or below must be accompanied by a guardian aged 18 or above to stay in Private Room / Private Dormitory / Bell Tent / Bring Your Own Tent. However, for guests aged between 16 and 17 who have a Parent / Guardian Consent Letter stating that the hostel shall bear no obligation for supervising him / her and is not responsible for his / her behavior during his / her stay may also stay unaccompanied in Bring Your Own Tent.
  Each Private Room / Private Dormitory / Bell Tent allows a maximum of one child aged below 6 to stay together for free without occupying a bed. Any extra child will be considered as adult.

  Dormitory Bed:
  Guests aged 15 or below is not allowed to stay in a Shared Dormitory; Guests aged between 16 and 17 who have a Parent / Guardian Consent Letter stating that the hostel shall bear no obligation for supervising him / her and is not responsible for his / her behavior during his / her stay may stay unaccompanied in a Shared Dormitory, otherwise, he / she must be accompanied by a guardian aged 18 or above to stay in a Shared Dormitory.

• Cancellations

  No cancellation or amendment can be made once the booking is confirmed+. For other booking enquiries, please contact our reservation center directly via email ([email protected]).

  If guests do not arrive the hostel on the scheduled date of arrival, no refund will be made. If their bookings are more than one night, hostel will reserve the right to cancel their remaining booking and resell the accommodation.

  All special promotion or offer will be subject to specific terms and conditions that indicated clearly on promotion materials. Please study before making any reservation.
  +With the exception of Adverse Weather Arrangements, please check Point 11.

• Group Reservation

  9 or more reservations (for Private Room / Private Dormitory / Dormitory Bed / Bell Tent / Bring Your Own Tent / Day Camp / Evening Camp) could be considered as a group booking which the guests are required to provide a valid member card of our group membership during check-in. For any group reservation, please send email to [email protected] and we will respond as quickly as we can.

• Special Requests

  Special requests (e.g. specific room or bed) are always subject to the availability and not guaranteed. Hostel staffs will make appropriate arrangement depending on situations.

• Additional Charge

  All guests must not exceed the maximum specified occupancy^{^} of the reserved room type. If additional beds are needed, please contact our reservation center in advance to check the availability and make corresponding reservation.

  ^If the actual number of guests staying are more than the maximum specified occupancy of the reserved room type, the hostel will charge the guests for the extra bed or reject the staying of the exceeded number of guests.

• Luggage Allowance

  Guests who stay in shared dormitory have to be aware of the limitation of the luggage size and quantity you may bring along with and follow the hostel rule and regulation strictly. Please contact the hostel staff directly for more details.

• Adverse Weather Arrangements

  A. If announcement is made by the Hong Kong Observatory that the Red/Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted or Typhoon Signal No.3 is likely to be hoisted / hoisted between 12:00noon and 11:00pm on the check-in date, guests who make the reservation may change the staying date once for free. If the aforesaid warning or typhoon signal is lowered or cancelled before 12:00noon, guests who make the reservation have to check in as scheduled otherwise will be deemed to be a ‘no show’ and no refunds will be made.

  B. If announcement is made by the Hong Kong Observatory that the Red/Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted or Typhoon Signal No.3 is likely to be hoisted / hoisted during your stay. In house guests may choose to leave the hostel before its closing hours by informing the hostel staff at the time and may change the staying date once for free. Guests may only reschedule the remaining nights while the stayed nights are non-refundable. If guests decide to stay at the hostel, no refunds will be made.

  C. Concerning the adverse weather arrangements stated above, affected guests must contact the HKYHA reservation center via email ([email protected]) to confirm the rescheduled check in date within 5 working days after the day which rainstorm warning or typhoon signal was announced by the Hong Kong Observatory. The new check in date must be within 3 months of the original check in date. If the price of the rescheduled date is higher than the original price, guest needs to pay the price difference. If the price of the rescheduled date is lower than the original price, no refund will be made.
